Toilet paper rolled out with meals

Two hundred of the most vulnerable people in Canterbury Bankstown received toilet paper with their Meals on Wheels on Wednesday.

Mayor Khal Asfour said the CEO of NSW Meals on Wheels Les MacDonald personally delivered 200 packs of toilet paper to council’s Meals on Wheels distribution point which they have now delivered to the community.
“It’s the very elderly and those living with disability who need Meals on Wheels, so we’re so pleased that these people have one less thing to worry about,” Mayor Asfour said.
“It might sound silly we’re so excited about toilet paper, but stories like this really restore our faith in the community, thank you Les and thank you Woolworths for doing your bit.
“Of course. the biggest thank you goes to our brilliant volunteers delivering on their usual rounds, we appreciate and we recognise your service at this difficult time.”
