Ms Finn said that after such a long and hard lockdown in the area, being able to join thousands of fans was long overdue.
“Of course, we all would have liked the Matildas to have won (rather than drawn 2-2) in the second match but it was a special moment for us all to be able to enjoy the atmosphere with our friends and families,” she said.
“It was also great to catch up with Granville Waratahs SFC before the game. I will be watching these passionate kids develop their skills and hopefully make the world stage in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.”
Support for Matildas
THERE was plenty of support when the Matildas took on Brazil at CommBank Stadium in Parramatta with locals including State MP for Granville, Julia Finn, and members of Granville Waratahs SFC, cheering them on from the stands.
