Students take on world, feed needy

GIVING students the opportunity to engage in the linguistics and cultural diversity of the world around them and compete on a global scale, LaSalle Catholic College Bankstown has taken part in the Education Perfect Languages Championships, picking up several awards.

But their good work doesn’t stop there, with students also collecting food items and warm clothing for the vulnerable, with donations going to the St Vincent De Paul Annual Winter Appeal.
Senior students also volunteered their time to organise and pack the items into boxes for the Vinnies truck for collection at the end of the last school term.
The school youth group, families and staff members also knitted squares which the Parishioners from St Jerome’s Punchbowl then sew into blankets to be given to the homeless.
