A ‘GOLDEN duck’ by Bankstown Sports’ Marium Mahmood on the first delivery was the perfect start for the women’s U15s, but they couldn’t carry that momentum until the end, going down to Easts Hurricanes.

Winning the toss and electing to bowl proved to be a great decision from captain Katelyn Dancy.
Mahmood was the pick of the bowlers with 1/4, but was well supported by Bree Kurtz 1/13, Isha Javed 1/19 and Bismah Choudhry 1/20 who also picked up wickets.
Easts’ experience with the bat meant they were able to hit the loose deliveries to the boundary before finishing with a big total of 6/143 from their 20 overs.
BSWCC openers Jessica Robertson 19 (19) and Taylor McMahon rtno put on a great partnership worth 28, keeping out some very fast balls from the opposition.
Bree Kurtz finished with 12rtno from her 20 balls, with the BSWCC innings closing on 3/78 after the 20 overs.
U15 Sixers Cricket League – BSWCC 3/78 (20) Jessica Robertson 19 (19), Bree Kurtz 12rtno (20) defeated by Easts Hurricanes 6/143 (20) Marium Mahmood 1/4, Bree Kurtz 1/13, Isha Javed 1/19 and Bismah Choudhry 1/20.
