NEWTOWN’S 1989 Arcade Bar & Kitchen will hold the inaugural Classic Tetris Australian Championships starting from July 20 and it’s staking up to be a huge event.
The competition has already run for eight years in the USA but 2019 will mark the first time, squares will be dropped competitively on the Australian stage.
Over two days, 32 players will face off on the PAL Nintendo Entertainment System Tetris in a massive bout of falling blocks for the chance to take home the national title.
