Water refill stations

THOUSANDS of residents have tapped into the nine water refill stations which were installed at popular spots in Canterbury-Bankstown 12 months ago, saving 1,642 kilograms of plastic or 128,278 water bottles.
The refill stations have been so popular, another eight have recently been installed.
Just like the Holmes siblings, Josh, Will and Millie, residents and visitors are making good use of the stations and helping do their bit by reducing the environmental impact of bottled water, and reduce the amount of litter and number of bottles going to landfill.
Mayor Khal Asfour says it just goes to show the community cares about being sustainable and is committed to being clean and green champions.
