Dining Out

Authentic taste of Persia

MEANING ‘early morning’ in Arabic or Persian and open for just over six months, Sahar Kebabs in Lidcombe is proving to be a hit with diners.

Owner Kemal Piri says people love their fresh food, friendly service and the variety of dishes they have on offer, adding that they also get plenty of compliments on how good the store looks.
“For me, the name ‘sahar’ means that God has given us another day to eat and live and enjoy life and that’s why birds start singing early in the morning,” he said.
Serving mostly Turkish style dishes along with a few Persian influenced meals, he says what makes them special is their variety, including a great range of both charcoal and doner kebabs, pizzas, burgers, gozleme and chips.
“All our food is prepared fresh when you order,” he said.
“The Adana charcoal kebab rolls are very popular, and people also really like the spinach and cheese gozleme.
“Customers are happy to wait an extra few minutes to get a gozleme freshly made and hot off the grill.
“Our snack packs are also very popular, especially with the younger customers.”
Perfect for an early breakfast, a fast lunch, a leisurely dinner or anytime snack, Sahar Kebabs is open seven days a week from 7am to 11pm.
Dine in or takeaway with office and home delivery also available.
