In awarding this rating, ACECQA recognises that the service is improving outcomes for children and families at the highest level.
The team at SDN Riverwood earned this recognition based on their outstanding and inclusive work with children, their partnerships with families and their efforts with staff families and the community during Covid.
Centre Director Christie Sherfan said Covid put a lot of stress on children, families, and staff. “I’m proud of the way the team has not only been able to support children and families but build on our work with the community,” she said.
SDN Children’s Services CEO Kay Turner said: “The team at SDN Riverwood has been working on achieving outstanding outcomes for children, families and the community for some years, and we are so glad the contribution they have made has been recognised.”
SDN Riverwood achieves ‘excellence’
SDN Riverwood is one of only 37 early education and care services across Australia to receive an excellent rating from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
