REMEMBRANCE Day in Australia on November 11, is dedicated to Australians who died as a result of war, particularly from World War I onwards.

All invited to honour fallen

A minute of silence is dedicated to the deceased at 11am, especially for soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation.
Residents are invited to a wreath laying ceremony at ANZAC Mall in Beamish Street, Campsie, at 10.50am on Monday (November 11), with a minute of silence at 11am, before sub-branch members and the public head to Campsie RSL for light refreshments.
Padstow RSL sub branch and members of the public will meet at 10.30am at Padstow cenotaph on Memorial Drive next to the station, with students and cadets involved in the wreath laying before heading back to Padstow RSL for light refreshments.
Chester Hill RSL sub branch will meet at 10.40am across the road from the club at the cenotaph on Chester Hill Road for a wreath laying ceremony and a minute’s silence before returning to the club for lunch and entertainment at a cost of $10 a ticket. Tickets can be bought at the club reception.
Bankstown RSL sub branch invites all to remember at a service and wreath laying ceremony on Monday at 10.30am outside Bankstown District Courthouse.
