Royal Easter Show’s back bigger, better than ever with visitor limits

CHOCOLATE eggs aside, for many thousands of people from both the city and the country, Easter means heading to the Sydney Showgrounds to enjoy all the fun of the show.

Ready to bounce back from the disappointment of last year’s cancelled event, up to 60,000 ticket holders a day will be welcomed to the 2021 Sydney Royal Easter Show when it kicks off at Sydney Olympic Park on April 1.
While that might be half the number normally expected through the gate, the Show’s general manager, Murray Wilton, said the self-imposed daily cap approved by NSW Health, would enable effective social distancing.
On the show’s busiest days, up to 182 cleaning staff and 131 hygiene staff will be on hand keeping areas throughout the showground clean and over the 12 days of the show, there will also be detailed layout plans and pedestrian flow management to enable increased physical distancing.
Real time data will also be fed through to the Easter Show app and website which will allow Showgoers to see what areas are busier at any given time.
“The Show is back and we’re excited to deliver a safe and unique Australian event that celebrates agricultural excellence, the strength and resilience of rural and regional Australia, our community spirit and everything we love about Australia,” Mr Wilton said.
Early Bird tickets are available online only until midnight on March 31 at eastershow.com.au.
