Plenty to do in school hols

THE winter days may be cool, but so is the huge range of free or low-cost school holiday activities on offer from Canterbury Bankstown Council.

Canterbury Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour says the council knows how important school holiday activities are for local families.
“Increased living costs are hurting many families, but that doesn’t stop kids from wanting to have fun,” Mayor Asfour said.
Highlights include a tween disco, Oz Tag, soccer, basketball, an open day at Belmore Youth Resource Centre, a soccer and net sports skills day at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre, a Liquid Nitrogen science show and Bankstown Arts Centre workshops, including mono-printing Wishing Tree flags and the chance to turn your dreams into art with ‘Frame Your Dream’, and plenty of library activities.
Other school holiday activities offered include bowling and laser tag, mini golf, sports and games, cycling, Ninja Playground trip, programming robots, arts and crafts sessions, Little Bang Science Club, Dungeons and Dragons, bingo and other games, movies at libraries and recycling workshops.
