Plenty of fun for all family

WITH plenty of fun slithering in and face painting for children, Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL is gearing up for an amazing Australia Day celebration next Wednesday, January 26.

Australia is synonymous with its reptile population and thanks to over 800 different species, there’s no shortage of scaly vertebrates for a captivating show.
Join a trained reptile handler as he takes you through endless interesting facts on everything from scaly lizards to slippery snakes and much more.
You can expect all sorts of oohs and aahs as the kids get up close and personal with some of the most weird and wonderful reptiles on the planet.
Don’t worry, even though some of the reptiles may have an aggressive appearance, the show does not contain any dangerous or poisonous species.
While the young ones are being entertained, Sydney Acoustic Duo ‘So Fresh’ will put a twist on your favourite R&B, Pop and Rock tunes from 11am-3pm.
The duo’s extensive repertoire allows them to cater to any audience – ensuring that everyone has an afternoon to remember.
There will also a $1,500 meat raffle up for grabs, with tickets going on sale from 4pm and the draw at 5pm.
With plenty of delicious options for all the family to celebrate, including 12-hour Slow Roasted Lamb Burger for $22 and a half-kilo of Garlic & Lemon Myrtle King Prawns with Wood Fired Damper for $34, as well as Woodfired Aussie Bites on offer from 11.30am; bookings are recommended at reception, by calling 9559 0000 or visiting chprsl.com.au.
