Physie club’s basking in competition success

IT looks like another big year for members of the Guildford Greystanes Physie Club as they expand their classes at Guildford on Saturdays for girls aged from two to 12.

Teacher Rachelle Adams says the club has achieved plenty of competition success, particularly towards the end of last year, with four teams placing in the top five of the national team competitions.
“We are ranked championship grade, meaning we were up against the best 12 clubs in Australia, so these placings are a great achievement,” she said.
“We also had 20-year-old Rachael Vella perform at the National BJP Senior Competition at Sydney Opera House where she defended her 19-20’s section title won 2018 in the 2019 grand champion section. She showed amazing strength and flexibility.
“For the first time in a few years, we were also able to have two ladies teams compete in B Grade.
“The club has grown in numbers in the ladies class and it is lovely to see some mothers sharing the sport with their daughters. Most have never danced before.”
Classes are held at Guildford, Merrylands West and Greystanes. For more information, visit guildfordgreystanesphysie.com or call Rachelle, 0409 771 924.
