Parish welcomes fence after grant help

GEORGES Hall parishioners have welcomed completion of their new fence, to help keep the St Mary Queen of Heaven Parish grounds safe and protected from intruders.

The group received $35,000 in funds for new security fencing through the Community Building Partnership program, which provides funding to local communities to help build new community facilities.
State MP for Bankstown, Tania Mihailuk, met with parish priest Reverend Fr Joseph Kolodziej and parishioners to congratulate and commend everyone involved in the successful CBP funding application and said she was delighted to see the project had been completed.
“The new security fence will help ensure the safety of parishioners, as well as the many students of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, who regularly use the parish grounds,” Ms Mihailuk said.
“I commend the hard work and effort of Father Joseph and St Mary’s wonderful parishioners who have worked to bring this project to fruition and I congratulate them on their well-deserved success.”
