Messages to spread hope

EVERY morning Revesby’s Zayne Dabbagh, 6, runs out to his Mackenzie Street mailbox to see what drawings or messages have been left for him and mum Samar (pictured) to display on their window.

“We are homeschooling, of course, and it is going well but Zayne is missing his friends at Panania North Public and can’t wait to get back to school,” Samar said.
“We noticed so many families, individuals and children walking past and thought we would help cheer up their day by putting up messages of hope and inspiration in our window.
“We also added some little decorations out the front that we hope children passing by will enjoy.”
Padstow resident Lynne Rumsey who regularly walks past Zayne’s home and contacted the Torch about the initiative, said the family deserved some recognition.
“They should be congratulated for brightening the day of everyone walking past,” she said.
“It certainly put a smile on my face.”
