Markets to make return

PLANNING to be back with a bang after a more than six-month break, Campsie Rotary Sunday Markets are returning later this month with strict social distancing rules.

In fact, ahead of the return, stallholders are required to attend an education session at Anzac Mall this Sunday, October 18, from 11.30am, to learn more of the council’s safety requirements, including sanitising of all goods and areas and strict entry and exit routes as well as a middle zone for shoppers to take time out.
After 17 years at the markets, starting as a Year 7 student alongside his late father, stallholder John Chan is thrilled to be getting back to Campsie with the proposed return on Sunday, October 25, 9am-3pm.
“We import electronics, toiletries, packaging and kitchen supplies such as hand towels, napkins and tissues,” he said.
“We are a wholesaler supplying to some restaurants and operate a stall at Flemington Markets on Fridays but have certainly missed being at Campsie after all of those years,” John said.
“It will be great catching up with all of the local customers and visitors and we have plenty of new, affordable items to interest shoppers.”
Some of the other goods on sale at bargain prices will include antiques and collectables, art and craft, baby and children’s gear, bric-a-brac, electronics, farmer supplies, music, plants, general goods, organic goods, vintage fashion, trash and treasure, retro items, music and much more.
