Large customer haul surprise in lockdown

BUSIER than ever, Panania Fish Market owner Le Che is thrilled the local community stayed so loyal during the Covid lockdown and as a way to thank them, will not be passing on her seafood suppliers’ price rises.

“You would not have known we were in lockdown apart from no diners being permitted inside and our new safety screens, as so many customers were ringing through and then collecting their orders,” Le said.
Family packs were by far the most popular and include two pieces of fish, medium chips, six fish cocktails, six calamari, four prawn cutlets, four potato salads, large sauce and a large drink – all for just $44.
The freshest and tastiest seafood available, other popular orders included freshly battered fish on the spot and then fried, baked or grilled, catch of the day plus salmon, tuna, prawns, oysters, Barramundi, scallops, cutlets and octopus, along with crisp or creamy salads designed to give your tastebuds a treat.
You can also enjoy scotch fillet steak sandwiches, spicy jumbo hamburgers with the lot, fish burgers (just $7.50), meat patty burgers (just $6), chicken schnitzels, bacon and egg rolls, battered savs, chicko rolls, crab claws, dim sims, fish cakes and spring rolls plus combo meals, with drink and chips, are also fantastic value.
And seniors get a 10 per cent discount which is great news as all dishes and snacks are already so reasonably priced.
