Join ‘Biggest Game in Backyard’ to win

KEEN to win some great prizes by bringing everyone together for a hit and a giggle, families are already getting into the swing of things ahead of NSW’s Biggest Game of Backyard Cricket next Saturday, October 9.

Panania’s Macdonald family (pictured), including Dad Jonathon and Bankstown Cricket Juniors, Ashton, 12, and Cooper, 15, got in a hit last week and were joined by sister Marley, 7.
“Marley loved it so much that she wants to join a team now,” said Jonathon whose eldest son Blake, 17, plays for Bankstown Cricket Seniors.
“It’s just something fun to do with the whole family; everyone should give it a go.”
A chance for all households to experience a form of the sport, ahead of the season opening, Biggest Game of Backyard Cricket is a game which everyone can play even if you don’t have access to a cricket bat, stumps or a ball – think about using a bin or the fence for stumps, socks for a ball and a piece of wood as the bat.
To be in the running to win the major prize of a Weber Spirit II E320 plus an all-new Weber Traveler or one of 11 $100 Weber.com vouchers, participants need to register for the Biggest Game of Backyard Cricket at cricketnsw.com.au and then post on the Cricket NSW Event Facebook page their video entry for the most creative wicket-taking.
