Dining Out

Italian classics wowing crowd

GEARING up for its first year anniversary, Pomodorino Pizzeria is the brainchild of chef friends Rino and Manuel who decided to join forces and establish the restaurant of their dreams.

With everything made from scratch on the premises, the friends decided to go back to basics and feature simple, traditional, Italian classics with the flavours that have been devoured and loved throughout the centuries.

And according to Manuel’s wife Samar, it was a plan that has definitely paid off.
“It’s been fantastic,” Samar said.
“We’ve been selling out of pasta at the end of every service; customers just can’t get enough but it’s easy to see why.
“Our pasta is just so silky, smooth and delicious.
“We offer some beautiful alternatives in case a customer isn’t after a pizza or pasta, including eye fillet steak, fish of the day and spatchcock, with some diners already saying when they ring up to book, ‘make sure you have enough spatchcock, we can’t wait to have it again, we’ll be there at 7.30’.”
With home deliveries for local diners, Pomodorino is BYO and licensed, and offers an extensive range of all the classic pizzas and pastas, with the homemade gnocchi one of the most popular choices.
“We’ve also got some wonderful entrees, side dishes and decadent desserts like tiramisu, panna cotta, chocolate mousse, torta della casa, gelato cups and affogata caffee and amaro,” Manuel added.
Open for dinner Tuesday to Sunday, 5.30-10pm, and for lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 12-3pm, Pomodorino Pizzeria is ideal for intimate gatherings and also for functions of all shapes and sizes plus features many tempting meal deals.
