Graduates ‘licensed’ to hit road

THE excitement that comes with getting your driver’s licence was clearly evident when State MP for Bankstown, Tania Mihailuk (pictured), presented the latest group of graduates of the Driver Licensing Access Program (DLAP) with their certificates.

There were smiles all around at the presentation at the Settlement Services International offices in Bankstown, with graduates now licensed to take to the roads.
The free program, which assists new migrants and refugees to obtain their driver’s licence, was run by Gymea Community Aid and Information Service in conjunction with Settlement Services International – SSI, Navitas English, CORE Community Services, Western Sydney Migrant Resource Centre, Bankstown RSL and Berala Community Centre.
