Giants must defeat Saints next after devastating Demons loss

A FIVE-POINT loss to Melbourne on Saturday, means the Giants’ fight for the finals will go down to the wire.

Rallying from an 18-point deficit in the first quarter, the Giants took a seven-point lead at the final break but failed to hang on with the Demons fighting back to take a heart stopping 12.7 (79) to 11.8 (74) victory.
Already in trouble after sensationally losing to Adelaide 8.11 (59) to 7.5 (47) on Tuesday night, the boys from Greater Western Sydney now not only have to beat the Saints on Friday, but will be sweating on the results of other games to have any hope of making the finals.
