Gets $5,000 gift to support sick

RONALD McDonald House Charities is set to receive a $5,000 boost after Milperra firm Fettayleh Foods presented a cheque last week to McDonalds Punchbowl owner operator Mina Favotto.

A local family business, Fettayleh Foods manager Salah Awad said his group looked forward to supporting the community on a regular basis.
Accommodating over 10,000 families a year, Ronald McDonald House Charities is proud to have 18 Ronald McDonald Houses across Australia providing support to seriously ill children and their families.
They also have 19 family rooms in womens and children’s hospitals, five family retreats and a national learning program to help seriously ill children catch-up on missed education.
“This generous donation will go towards providing a family with 30 nights’ accommodation at one of the houses,” said Mrs Favotto, a long-time supporter of Ronald McDonald Charities.
