Stabbed in brawl over girl

SIX teenagers have been charged after a 15-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed during a brawl in Bankstown last Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to Chapel Road, Bankstown, about 3.15pm after reports of a fight and stabbing, and found three injured 15-year-olds.
One was allegedly stabbed in the back, another in the thigh, and one was treated for swelling and bruising to the face.
Bankstown Police Commander Superintendent Adam Johnson said it’s believed the alleged fight happened “over a girl”.
“Unfortunately some bad decision-making has ended in dire consequences,” he said.
“It’s just a silly situation of young people making some very bad decisions.”
Five boys aged between 15 and 16 have been charged with reckless wounding in company and affray, while another 16-year-old was charged with affray.
Superintendent Johnson said police were looking for other boys involved in the brawl.
He said a number of people had recorded the altercation on mobile phones which police have obtained and the footage had made it easy for police to identify the individuals, but called on those involved to hand themselves in immediately.
“We already know who some are. My message is, come to Bankstown Police Station and hand yourself in,” he said.
