Financial grant on offer for youth to improve skills and reach goals

DO you want to be the best you can be and are aged up to and including 25?

The Rotary Club of Padstow can help by providing cash support to help you improve your skills, experience and life.
Are you good at sport but with a little help could be even better?
Do you like to entertain or paint but need some assistance to improve?
Maybe you have been invited to join a special event but can’t afford to take part?
Since 2000, the Rotary Club of Padstow has helped countless young people fulfill their dreams, including support to send the only Bankstown musician in the opening ceremony to the Beijing Olympics in 2008, sponsoring another to attend a leadership seminar in the USA, providing a customised bike for a down syndrome sufferer, sending a young tenor to the National Opera School Brisbane, sponsoring a young player in the Women’s World Soccer Championships in the USA, purchasing a Braille system for a young blind man and sending another young person to Le Hague for a United Nations forum, to name just a few.
Rotarian Barry Thompson says the sponsorship program was not on offer last year due to Covid but it is back in 2021, with members keen to help as many local young people as possible.
“It’s a great opportunity to get support to achieve what is on offer or to boost your skills,” he said.
