Expert insight into Instagram success

SINCE Instagram’s creation, it has grown into the ultimate platform for sharing photos, with over 800 million monthly users on the site with a massive amount of followers.

It’s also a great place to advertise your products but if you’re too pushy, followers will drop like flies.
Explaining the tricks and giving you tips to get your business active on Instagram, digital marketing agency Strategic Online CEO Katina Beveridge will present a webinar that’s supported by Western Sydney Business Centre and hosted by Cumberland Council on Friday, July 24.
“It’s a common mistake so many business people make where they spend money on Instagram but don’t have a strategy so they may as well throw the money in a bin,” Ms Beveridge said.
“Firstly, you need to be clear on the outcome you want and think about the image you are using; make sure it matches your target audience, not one that you just like.
“Now is the perfect time to look at social media for marketing as you have a captive audience but you need to be strategic.
“With the right plan, you too can become an influential brand.”
Product teaser posts are a simple way to talk about your product and increase excitement without looking like you’re trying too hard but you need to post the right kind of content to stay relevant to current followers while also bringing in new ones.
“The more that you know about how users are interacting with your posts, the better you can adjust your content to boost engagement,” Ms Beveridge said.
