Enjoy snag on barbie to help out those still doing it tough

THE only thing better than enjoying a sausage wrapped in bread in a Bunnings carpark, is knowing that all the funds raised will help out people recovering from last month’s devastating floods and storms.

Earlier this month, staff from Bunnings Lidcombe teamed up to raised funds for Givit, a national not-for-profit which offers assistance to local communities in times of disaster and during recovery.
Givit CEO Sarah Tennant says the money raised will be used to purchase essential items and services needed by the many people and communities who are doing it tough.
“As we move into the recovery phase, we are seeing an influx of requests for furniture, beds and tools,” she said.
“With funds raised from the Bunnings sausage sizzle, we can meet these needs and help people get back on their feet again.”
