Enjoy netball with friends, family

ARE you looking for a fun, healthy bonding activity to do with your children, workmates or family members?

If you are a fan of netball but don’t want to have to train or wear a uniform, Netball4All is the ideal opportunity and it’s on offer throughout the year.
With the next 10-week season starting this Monday, January 31, games are played on Mondays and Thursdays at Wyatt Park, Auburn, from 6.45pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
At the end of each season, there is a summer, autumn, winter and spring carnival costing $35 to take part with the chance to win prizes and a fun-filled day on offer for all the family.
The cost to register is $20 a player and then $125 to play per season with Active Kids vouchers available.
Netball4All directors Ann Maree Kopos and Kim Higgins said they introduced a competition for juniors, 12-15 years, last season which was a lot of fun.
“The juniors teams have a maximum of two males if they are mixed and at the end of last year, we had several teams of girls with their brothers playing with them,” Ann Maree said.
“There are not too many team sports where you can do this and our families loved it.”
She said Netball4All was perfect too for others who may have played when they were younger or at school and have now had their own children but looking for an activity.
“Others have entered mixed teams of work colleagues or family groups and don’t want the fuss of organising uniforms and we supply the umpires and the balls to make it even easier,” she said.
