Dazzling acts sparkle in refurbished setting

ONE of Sydney’s top nightlife venues, the Bankstown RSL’s old auditorium has hosted a ‘who’s who’ of both Australian and international entertainers.

The rollcall of great names to perform at the club includes The Stylistics, Hunters and Collectors, Rose Tattoo, Cockroaches, Radiators, Johnny Farnham, Dragon, Fleetwood Mac, Jimmy Barnes, John Swan, Mental as Anything, INXS, The Eagles, Richard Clapton, Men at Work and the Beatniks among many others.
Since its hugely successful opening in January of this year, Bankstown RSL has once again been offering top-drawer entertainment, with plenty more amazing acts lined up.
Highlighting the ongoing popularity of tribute shows, Creedence and Friends will appear in the Void entertainment space on Saturday, June 29, and in a special treat for younger audiences, the club will also host The Katy Perry and Taylor Swift Tribute kids concert on Wednesday, July 10, from 10.30am.
Tickets at the door on the day will be free, however for grandparents and parents hoping to treat pop-loving youngsters, there are 250 advance purchase tickets available from club reception for $5 each, which can then be exchanged for a packet of chips and 250ml soft drink at the show.
Sports fans can also enjoy another TripleM Footy show, with the full broadcast crew including Wendell Sailor and Tony Squires, along with club ambassador Anthony Maroon, entertaining fans on days when the Bulldogs are playing away.
Enjoy the Broncos versus the Bulldogs from Suncorp Stadium with Mark Geyer in the chair on Thursday, July 18, (Rush Hour – Pre Game Only from 6pm to 7pm) and kick off at 7.50pm.
