Day of fun and entertainment to honour local mothers

CUMBERLAND councillor Lisa Lake and Parramatta’s Donna Davis were joined by more than 150 attendees when the Western Sydney Community Centre (WSCC) held its annual Mother’s Day event in Auburn last month.

After WSCC CEO Faydi Saddik welcomed all, the crowds enjoyed the activities at a range of stations set up for the day including face painting, henna, colouring in and card-making, arts and crafts, jewellery and gift-making.
“The event was full of surprises including traditional Chinese singing performances, raffle tickets with many prizes won and a beautiful cake with a message to all mothers,” Mr Saddik said.
“I would like to thank all staff, volunteers, students and sponsors who play a crucial role in the success of our events. A special thanks to the centre’s playgroup and events co ordinator Sue Badreddine who worked hard to bring everything and everyone together.”
