Crashed four times

A MAN has been charged with high-range drink driving following four crashes in Alexandria on Saturday night.
About 10.30pm, police were called to Henderson Street, Alexandria, where two cars collided, before one fled the scene.
Three occupants were taken to hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
Police will allege the driver who drove from the scene was involved in a further three fail-to-stop crashes, one on Renwick Street and two on Dadley Street.
A short time later, police located the heavily damaged vehicle on Belmont Lane, with the driver fleeing the scene on foot.
He was arrested following a short pursuit and subjected to a roadside breath test, allegedly returning a positive result.
The 24-year-old man from Wolli Creek allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of 0.157.
He was issued a Court Attendance Notice for drive with high range PCA, fail to stop and assist after impact causing injury, and three counts of not give particulars to other driver. His licence was suspended.

Fake bank staff fraud
TWO men who allegedly posed as bank employees have been charged after defrauding an elderly man of almost $5,000.
In January 2020, police began an investigation after an 86-year-old man reported his bank account had been fraudulently accessed a number of times on January 3-4.
It’s alleged the two men pretended to be from a bank and notified the man over the phone that his card had been fraudulently accessed. They collected the card and access pin from him at his residence – a retirement village in Castle Hill – before making a number of purchases totalling $4,537.
Police investigations led to a 20-year-old man Ashfield man being charged with four counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception and a second 20-year-old man was charged with nine counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage.

Sex assault charges
A SYDNEY artist has been charged over the alleged sexual assault of four women, one of which was tattooed without her consent.
In January, Strike Force Freestone investigated a number of reports of sexual assault over a three-year period, which they believed may have been linked.
Investigators executed search warrants at a home at Darlinghurst and an industrial space at Marrickville on Tuesday.
During the searches, police seized four replica pistols, knuckle dusters, prohibited drugs, including methylamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, and cannabis oil; computers, mobile phones, digital cameras, SD cards, and other electronic equipment.
A 40-year-old man has been charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent, five counts of sexual intercourse without consent, use intoxicating substance to commit indictable offence, four counts of possess prohibited firearm, seven counts of possess prohibited drug, and possess prohibited weapon.
