Come and Try Day Mini Roos

NORTH Bankstown Soccer Club is hosting a free ‘Mini Roos Come and Try Day’ this Sunday, December 19, 3-5pm, at Graf Park in Yagoona.
Ideal for those aged four to 10 who have never had any soccer experience, Mini Roos features professional coaches to help young participants build skills though games and simple drills in an engaging and inclusive environment.
“Every player gets plenty of time on the ball and the prime aim of each session is for children to build fundamental motor skills,” NBSC President Catherine Kearns said.
“Each child receives a MiniRoos Participant Pack when they register – which includes a bag, ball, sticker sheet and an activity book.”
An opportunity to make new friends and socialise, Mini Roos will also help develop your child’s ability to make quick decisions and improve reaction time.
This Sunday will include a welcome barbecue for families and fun inflatable equipment for younger ones to enjoy.
Limited spaces available: Register at playfootball.com.au/miniroos-kickoff-finder; enter your postcode and go to North Bankstown Soccer Club.
The committee is reviewing the fee structure and how best to provide discounts for returning players in 2022.
“Our aim is to make soccer effectively free for all juniors and heavily discounted for senior teams,” Kearns said.
If the children enjoy the ‘Come and Try Day’, they can sign up later for the MiniRoos Kick-Off program in January 2022.
