Club’s jab efforts helped us to reach ‘freedom day’ milestone

AFTER 107 days in the wilderness, Bankstown Sports Club staff were thrilled to get back on the job on Monday morning.

Transforming from a vaccination hub back to a club, the team has been busy stocking up on fresh food supplies for their 14 eateries and whether you are a hop-head, a sour-freak, or you just like good quality, drinkable ales, they have the beer ready to go too.
Club CEO Mark Condi says over 20,000 vaccine jabs were administered at the club which helped the community reach its ‘freedom day’ milestone.
“We prepared early for the re-opening and are excited to be back as well as to be opening Lady Banks Rooftop Bar, our latest offering, on Thursday,” he said.
Bankstown RSL staff were also fully vaccinated and ready to go on Monday.
“The RSL has invested in a wide range of new technologies to keep our community safe, including a Heat Body Scan, able to scan multiple people at once, ensuring faster sign-in times and identifying anyone with high body temperatures,” a spokesperson said.
“Hand sanitiser, signs and socially distanced furniture allow members to enjoy the state-of-art facilities, with peace of mind and where families and friends can focus on what is important – reconnecting, dining, relaxing and celebrating the special moments.”
