Classical art win for Latin student

REGENTS Park Christian School Creative Arts Co ordinator Kerry Odonga, students Jeremy and Rebekah and English Co ordinator Richard Warren (pictured) after the students took out major prizes in the Rosemary Davis Classical Art Design Competition.

Inspired through their study of Latin, both Year 7 students entered the animation category, with Rebekah winning first place and Jeremy’s entry judged as highly commended.
Judges said Rebekah’s entry incorporated well-staged storytelling and good use of humour to promote audience engagement while Jeremy used playful and engaging graphics to produce an educational insight into the lives of ancient slaves.
