Cheers to freedom

THE streets and shops were abuzz with activity on Monday with residents turning out to celebrate the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.

With stay-at-home orders lifted and many other businesses opened for the first time in 106 days after the State hit 70 per cent double vaccination, residents took the opportunity to get a haircut, do some shopping, visit relatives and friends at aged care centres, sit in a restaurant and indulge in some food and enjoy a beer or drink and catch up with mates at the local pub or club.
Premier Dominic Perrottet said: “The people of NSW have earned this moment setting a cracking pace in getting the jab to protect our communities and businesses who have had such a tough time these past few months.”
