Cheer on Libertini at Sporties

WITH the official supporters’ hub driving her home from Bankstown Sports, ‘Libertini’, affectionately named after the face of La Piazza, Mario Libertini, will be the one to watch tomorrow in Australia’s richest turf race, Everest Day.

Owned by Mario’s friend Gerry Harvey, ‘Libertini’, is a filly by champion sire ‘I Am Invincible’ out of Group 1-winning mare ‘Aloha’.
With all the fillies lining up to see who will be crowned ‘Best Dressed’, Bankstown Sports has you covered for the nation’s most special spring race day tomorrow, October 17, with the first race at 12.30pm, ahead of the Melbourne Cup on November 3.
You can watch the race live on the big screen with plenty of TAB facilities, themed cocktails and Cheat Day Platters for you to share with your friends.
And bookings for groups of six or more will receive a free Basement Brewhouse Meat and Cheese Board!
With an all day feast available, you can dine on any two burgers with beer battered onion rings, halloumi chips, mac n cheese croquettes, popcorn chicken and potato fries for just $49.
Absolutely to die for, Everest Cocktails cost $16 for members and $17.50 for non-members and include: Tofane – Archie Rose Gin, Midori, Cointreau and blood orange liqueur shaken with muddled fresh kiwi fruit, sugar syrup and fresh lemon juice; Bivouac – 1800 Silver Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and blue sugar syrup shaken and poured over ice; The Ledge – Ink Gin, Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, fresh grapefruit juice, grenadine, fresh lemon juice and sugar syrup; The Strip – Fresh muddled mango pieces shaken with Grey Goose Orange Vodka, Hunter Distillery Mango Liqueur, Limencello and fresh lime juice; and the Libertini – Absolut Citron, Blue Curacao, lemon juice, melon liqueur and pear liqueur.
