Chance to explore present link to past

TIME is explored in a new exhibition on show at the Granville Centre Art Gallery until May 9.

‘The Past is the Present is the Future’ looks at time as seen by some non-Western cultures, not as linear but as a spiral or a cycle and how both ancestral histories and projected futures are embodied in the present tense.
The collection of works brings together photographic and moving image practices to explore the way in which time is ever present and how it is woven throughout connections to culture, people and place.
Curated by Talia Smith, the exhibition features works by artists Monisha Chippada, Peta Clancy, Dacchi Dang, Selina Ershadi, Azita Chegini, Simryn Gill, Sancintya Mohini Simpson and Leyla Stevens.
Located at 1 Memorial Drive, entry to the Granville Centre Art Gallery is free and the exhibition is open from 10am-4pm, Tuesday to Friday, and 11am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
