Carols to echo through Wiley Park

IT sure won’t be a silent night, when some of our popular entertainers gather under the stars to belt out all your Christmas favourites.

Thousands of locals are set to sing along with Prinnie Stevens finalist on The Voice and host of The Voice Kids, and Antoine from ABC’s Hooley Dooleys, at Carols in the Park in Wiley Park Amphitheatre this Sunday.
Families can bring their picnic baskets and blankets for a cosy night, and there’ll be a special treat for the kid’s with a visit from Santa and other magical characters. The night will end with a surprise pyrotechnic display.
A Council spokesperson said the event was a perfect way to kick-off the festive season with family and friends.
“Our event is about the community celebrating the festive season and there is no better way to do this than singing along to carols, sung by our local singers,” said the spokesperson.
“Make sure you bring a rug, enjoy the entertainment, indulge in the food on offer and celebrate together.
“There might not be snow or reindeers at Wiley Park, but the night will be a Christmas cracker!”
For residents who can’t get enough of the City’s carol-filled celebrations, Council is supporting Padstow Rotary’s Carols by Candlelight event on Sunday, December 19, 5.30-9.30pm, at Playford Park, Padstow.
