Brutal steel cage battle to excite wrestling fans

THE most brutal form of confrontation, an incredible ‘steel cage’ match will have fans on the edge of their seats when AWE Live Pro Wrestling hosts Australia’s biggest six-man battle at Canterbury Hurlstone Park this Sunday afternoon.

With three on three at any one time, the steel cage is used as a barrier and as a weapon.
It keeps the competitors inside and the interference outside – the match will only end when one side surrenders.
Fans can witness the best in Australia go hard at it and Lakemba’s Scott Magnum, who was last year’s AWE Australian Champion Wrestler, is looking forward to the excitement that the event brings.
“It’s like war games in cages,” he said.
“Really entertaining plus a range of titles will be defended on the day.”
Canterbury wrestler Billy Vax will be front and centre vying for honours along with Bruza, Big Bad Nick, Psykotic and Original Greasers Slad and Zucco.
There will also be a fantastic live band and a ‘fire-breathing’ performer to add even more spark to the fun.
Magnum said he was looking forward to taking on an interstate opponent.
“My goal is to get as much national wrestling experience as possible,” he said.
“Wrestling was my passion as a kid and growing up and now it’s all of that and more.
“I love everything about it – the rock music, the drama, the body-building and all the athleticism; I hope to go far.”
Doors open at 3.30pm at the club on Sunday, August 21, with tickets from $20; book by calling 9559 0000.
