Brush up way for men’s health awareness

STUDIES show art is a great way to express your emotions without words, process complex feelings, reduce anxiety and increase self-esteem.

So Lidcombe Shopping Centre has partnered with local teens to raise awareness of men’s health through art this month.
In support of men’s health, Homebush Boys High School students will conduct live art sessions, ‘Movember Masterpieces’, every Tuesday in November, 9.30am-2.30pm.
“At the end of the month, we’ll be posting to Facebook their finished artwork where customers can decide which artwork you like best,” a centre spokesperson said.
“The artwork with the most likes will win over $1,000 in prizes from the Centre and participating retailers.”
Voting will begin next Wednesday, November 27.
In addition, HSC Art submissions from Homebush Boys High School and Auburn Girls High School will be on exhibition at the centre during November.
“You can read about these young artists and their HSC Art submissions in the HSC Artworks Info Flyer,” the spokesperson added.
Both displays will be on level 1, near Kung Fu Kitchen.
