Another charged with Chester Hill shooting

POLICE have charged a second man after a car was allegedly shot up in Chester Hill last month.

Police were investigating reports that shots had been fired in Alpha Street, Chester Hill, just before 9.30pm on Sunday, August 9, when a 38-year-old man turned up to Granville Police Station and told officers shots were fired into his car following an altercation on Alpha Street. He was uninjured.
A 20-year old man was arrested at a home in Chester Hill on Monday, August 10, and charged with discharge firearm etc intend cause grievous bodily harm.
About 3.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, September 16), police were patrolling on Auburn Road, Auburn when they sighted a silver Toyota Hilux with a man wanted in relation to the shooting, travelling in the vehicle.
Officers stopped the utility and arrested a 26-year-old man, seizing a number of items including mobile phones and clothing.
He was charged with two outstanding arrest warrants, discharge a firearm with intent to cause Grievous Bodily harm, and possess prohibited drug and give false name.
