BOOKING a berth in the Grand Final, East Hills Baseball Club 5th Grade Buccaneers came fourth overall in the St George Baseball Winter Competition but have been on a roll winning their semi finals and finals in fine style last weekend.

In a swashbuckling display, Buccaneers 14 def Scots 8 to proceed to the big show, with outstanding pitching to start from Ray with 67 pitches in 3 innings and well backed up by Yatesy with 68 pitches to finish the game – a great effort by both players over 7 innings.
“Well done to all players on an outstanding effort and special mentions to Troy and Josh for bench warming for the entire game,” a spokesperson said.
“Thank you Nanna Kaz and our tremendous supporters for another great season but most of all thanks to the mighty Buccaneers players heading to the Grand Final – we can do it.”
East Hills Baseball Club, located at Kelso North Baseball Park, Panania, will be entering junior (boys and girls) teams into the Cronulla Sutherland Junior Association and senior teams into Cronulla Minor League Senior Association competition which start in September and runs through to March.
“It’s a great way to get fit and meet new friends while enjoying the great outdoors,” the spokesperson added.
