Youth artwork transforming school fence

IT might not be an art gallery in the traditional sense of the word but a display of student artworks hung along the fence surrounding Granville South Public School (pictured), is attracting plenty of attention.

Principal Karen Macphail said the outdoor display of laminated student works was a way to showcase the excellent art that was happening in schools.
She said deputy principal Natasha Zeremes saw the idea and turned it into a reality at Granville South.
“It gives the students a real sense of pride when seeing their artwork displayed on our school fence,” Mrs Macphail said.
“We have had really positive feedback from not only our parent community, but also community members who drive past every day.
“We are super proud of our students and this is another way that we can show the community how great our school at Granville South is.”
