Old Guildford’s Biggest Morning Tea raises $2,000

A GENEROUS parent has helped an Old Guildford Public School Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser top $2,000.

Principal Helen Morgani said the mother saw the total was sitting at $1,900 and pledged $100 to round it up.
“Talk about community spirit,” she said.
“This event was run by our Student Representative Council (SRC), an active group of student leaders who are always thinking of ways to support a worthy cause.

“Over 50 parents, staff and students from Kindergarten to Year 6 came together for the Biggest Morning Tea.”
Mrs Morgani said the SRC sold cakes, biscuits and slices to the value of $1,085, with the rest of the money coming from loose coin donations and staff sweeps.
