Chef’s preparing to get the chop in World’s Greatest Shave to help sick

“I was inspired by the important work of the Leukaemia Foundation and thought, why not … it’s only hair,” he said.
“Hopefully my efforts will encourage others to do the same.”
More than 41 Australians are diagnosed with blood cancer every single day and the Leukaemia Foundation has a goal to make sure no lives are lost to the disease by 2035.
Leukaemia Foundation also helps ensure families facing blood cancer have a place to call home during treatment, someone to turn to, and access to the best possible care and treatment.
Urging others to take up the challenge to shave or colour their hair, marketing and community relations manager Julie Milsom says there will be activities for the kids, entertainment as well as fundraising opportunities.
She said $1 from the nominated Charity Meal on the menu would also be donated to the cause.
“The World’s Greatest Shave event is our chance to support the thousands of people currently living with blood cancer across Australia,” she said.
“By simply shaving, cutting or colouring your hair, you can show your support for those is need.”
