Classy bowlers pave way for Dogs’ win

THE Bankstown Sports Club Bulldogs are chasing 239 when the Premier grade cricket match resumes next Saturday at Coogee Oval.

Randwick-Petersham batted first and after a shaky start fought back to finish with a reasonable total.
The versatile Mitch Brown ripped into the home side and claimed 3-30 to get the Bulldogs barking. He moved the ball around aggressively and caused no end of trouble to the Randwick side.
Liam Marshall chimed in with an important run out.
Former Bankstown players Anthony Sams and Thunder star bowler Daniel Sams came together for the rescue mission. However, they both fell to wicket taking spinner Ben Taylor who has enjoyed a great season and always is on target with his accuracy, flight and guile.
Thunder allrounder Nathan McAndrew hammered home the advantage with a typical fiery spell. He hurtled down 22 challenging overs in his enthusiastic effort.
His three wickets kept the Bulldogs in control and made sure the home side did not gain the ascendancy.
Marshall secured another top class run out as the home side fought hard to post a decent total.
At stumps, the Bulldogs were 0-4 and looking forward to the run chase next Saturday.
