Berala Kebab’s Nev cooks up Valentine’s Day treat for aged

HAPPY to be labelled a “romantic”, Berala business owner Nevzat (Nev) Aslan was rewarded with plenty of smiles as he and his staff handed out hundreds of individual red roses to customers at the Berala Kebab House on Friday, February 14.

For the second year, he also dropped by residential aged care homes including IRT Berala on the Park and Gallipoli Home in Auburn, to hand out roses to residents and staff.
He described the Valentine’s Day gesture as one of the highlights of his year.
“It’s all about love, and I really do love my customers,” he said.
“Going out the nursing homes for the first time was great last year and it was wonderful to do it again. To see the smiles on everyone’s faces was amazing. They all deserve so much joy.”
And to show he’s not just about a romantic gesture, Nev also hands out roses on Mother’s Day each year.
