Book for Flavours of Auburn cooking class

FLAVOURS of Auburn cooking classes are run by local cooks, who share recipes and ingredients from their culture with a cosy class of 10 participants.
Classes are delivered by Auburn Small Community Organisation Network (ASCON) cooks who have close links to the Auburn area and communities, and House of Welcome cooks from refugee backgrounds.
The next Afghan cooking class on February 28, is already sold out but spots are still available for classes on March 6 and March 27, and later in the year on May 29 and June 10.
Next month’s other Flavours of Auburn classes, include Sri Lankan cooking on March 13 and Vegan Ethiopian Cuisine on March 21.
Cooking classes are held at the Auburn Centre for Community. Tickets are $70 for adults; $50, Cumberland residents; and $45, concession (plus booking fee). Details: 8757 9796 or flavoursofauburn.com.au.
And, if you want to be a part of a colourful journey of tastes from around the world by introducing participants to the cuisines of communities across Cumberland, the program is also accepting applications for community cooks and facilitators, until Thursday, February 20.
