Toddler pool re-opens

THE Roselands Leisure and Aquatic Centre has reopened its dedicated toddler’s wading pool for the first time since 2016, following recent repairs.

Mother of two, Lyndall Cheshire from Roselands (pictured with Cohen and Ruby) said having access to a toddler’s pool would be a fantastic step forward.
She said it was “super important” in being able to help children become more comfortable around water.
“Having this toddler’s wading pool will help introduce younger children to the idea of being in water,” she said.
“It’s going to be a really good tool for parents to get use to seeing how their children behave around water, as well as be a stepping stone to teach water safety,” she said.
Mayor Khal Asfour says toddlers and young children need a pool where they can cool off and the pool will give them that option before the summer is over.
“It is so important to have a place where young children can feel safe playing in water and where they can build their confidence,” he said.
