Berala Physie Club earns place in each age group at junior nationals

BERALA Physical (Physie) Culture Club has celebrated another year of competition success.

Teacher Rebecca White said that after moving up a division in 2019, they knew they were in for plenty of hard work and were determined to do their best.
“I’m so proud to say that Berala yet again had very successful year, even with the tougher competition,” she said.
“Berala Physie had a record 16 girls reach the zone final for their age group, and of these, five went on to place in the top five.
“Our five place-getters all qualified to attend the Junior National Finals in Homebush. It was there that our very own Maddy placed third in her age group for the second year in a row.”
She said the club’s eight junior teams earned a place in every age group, while their two senior and ladies teams also performed very well.
“It is no mean feat to juggle work, family or anything else in life – plus find time to exercise,” White said.
“Physie is a wonderful way to find some ‘me-time’, gain some fitness and flexibility, and learn something new in a friendly and social setting.
“The first two lessons are free so it’s worth coming down to check it out.”
The club is registered for both the Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers, with classes resuming on February 14.
