Bunnings praised over building new verandah

NOW the owner of a new verandah, Sefton resident Edna Hall, 92 is thrilled, according to son John, after her Legatee Alan Rawlinson swung into action upon finding out about the dry rot danger just outside her door.

Alan spoke to Villawood Bunnnings via Cathy, the then activities organiser, who put him in touch with another staffer Zak who undertook the task of rebuilding Mrs Hall’s verandah.
“Bunnings donated all the timber and paint, with the painting completed by John, at no cost to Mrs Hall,” Alan said.
“Bunnings is a great supporter of Legacy and also assists with their barbecue fundraisers. Legacy and I greatly appreciate their efforts working as a team and helping out the community where they can.
“I was happy to see the finished project for Mrs Hall.”
John added: “My mother and I are thrilled with the new verandah and really can’t thank enough Bunnings and Mr Rawlinson for their kindness.
“The verandah was very unstable and a big worry to my mother. We are both very grateful and relieved.”
